An International Message We Can All Bite Into

Retailers and consumers throughout Canada are responding to the California Tomato Farmers' promotion of its fresh standard and superior taste. In 2008, JSA furthered our existing partnership with California Tomato Farmers by launching a creative campaign for six major Canadian markets (Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Saskatoon) to increase sales of their field grown tomatoes.

A print campaign, supplemented by a six-week radio flight, encouraged customers to buy California grown tomatoes. As a result, the sales of California Tomato Farmers' product increased by over 20% in Canada. With on-target creative messaging, coupled with a successful media buy, this short burst campaign moved our client’s product into the hands of the consumer.

Creative messaging will continue through 2009 in both Canada and California, encouraging retailers, food service providers and consumers to buy "The Fresh Standard" - one that is only provided by California Tomato Farmers.
